Two kinds of thing are sold here, and they work differently: a printed book that has to travel to you, and an e-Book that arrives as a download. This page covers both.

If something has gone wrong with your order, the fastest route is always the contact page. Most of what follows never needs to be quoted at anybody.

If the book arrives damaged, or it is the wrong one

Tell us within 7 days of it reaching you and a correct copy is sent at no cost to you. A photograph of the problem helps and is usually all that is needed — you will not be asked to send a damaged book back unless there is a specific reason to.

This is the part of the policy that matters most, and it is deliberately the least demanding.

If you change your mind about a printed book

A printed book can be returned within 7 days of you receiving it, as long as it is still in resalable condition — unmarked, unwritten-in, and not damaged.

Returns are brought to FCL Place, Muyenga Road, Kampala, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, or sent back at your own cost. Once it arrives and has been looked at, the price of the book is refunded. The original delivery fee is not refunded, because that journey already happened.

e-Books

An e-Book cannot be returned once it has been downloaded, for the obvious reason that you still have it. So downloaded e-Books are not refundable as a matter of changing your mind.

That is not the same as leaving you stuck. If the download link fails, if the file will not open, or if you were sent the wrong title, tell us and it will be fixed — or refunded in full if it cannot be.

If you cancel before the book is sent

Get in touch before a physical order has been dispatched and it is cancelled and refunded in full, delivery fee included.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back the way the money came — through Pesapal, to the Mobile Money account or the card used to pay. Refunds are not paid to a different account from the one that paid.

Once a refund is issued from this side it is with Pesapal and your bank or mobile money provider, and how long it takes to appear is up to them rather than up to us.

Orders that never arrived

Delivery across Kampala is quoted at 3 working days. If a physical order has not reached you and that window has clearly passed, get in touch — this is treated as a delivery problem to solve, not a claim to be argued about.

Asking about any of this

Use the contact page. Please include the name the order was placed under and, if you have it, the order number from your receipt.
